Tia Stay started with a long-distance love story between me and Johnny.

Back then, I was studying and working in Hong Kong, and Johnny was living in Thompson, Manitoba. It wasn’t easy to meet — so we picked a halfway point and met in Winnipeg. That trip gave us an unforgettable experience. We stayed in a small round apartment — shaped like a flying disc — with tiny cozy rooms, a kitchen to cook in, a little sofa to watch TV, and a special bed I’ll never forget.​
